Prayer requests for week commencing Monday 5th July

Whether you join our 9am Morning Prayer on Monday to Thursday in zoom or pray during your own quiet time each day, we invite you to join us in praying for the following topics this week.  If you have any prayer requests please email Rev Sally or text her if you have her number.  We pray for healing for those who are sick and grieving daily. A prayer to say together daily – Collect for fifth Sunday after Trinity

Monday 5 July – The number of young people out of work for six months or more has recently surged to a 10-year high. Pray that the government will do more to tackle the rise in long-term youth unemployment.

Tuesday 6 July – Pray for the new Edgware Parish Communications Administrator, Annie,  starting work in the parish office today. May she enjoy her work helping the Parish to communicate the Good News of Jesus to those in our community.
Wednesday 7 July – Pray for the Edmonton Clergy Quiet Day at St Barnabas on the topic of Race and Diversity in the church. For the speakers who will be sharing their testimony of the lived experience of UK Minority Ethnics priests, and for an openness and sensitivity in the discussions during the day.

Thursday 8 July – Pray for persecuted Christians worldwide. We give thanks and pray for the work of Open Doors (our mission partner) who work among persecuted Christians.  Pray for those awaiting asylum decisions and those preparing for interviews.
Friday 9 July – Pray for the free Family Film event at 4pm on Saturday 10 July. Pray that the families will come along and will have fun at the event, and feel comfortable in St Margaret’s.
Saturday 10 July – Pray for the preparation and organisation of the Family Fun Day on Saturday 24 July (12 noon to 3pm). Pray that more volunteers will come forward to get involved and help in the event.
Sunday 11 July  – “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8). May we have a singleness of heart toward God … a pure heart which has no hypocrisy, no guile, and no hidden motives.
